Market day at Glud Museum

The market day at Glud Museum has become a permanent event the first week-end in August . The great exhibition of tractors and farming engines begins already on saturday. 40 to 50 tractors, and several stationary engines which drive grinding mills and threshing machines.

The market offers all the attractions that belong to old-fashioned cattle shows - though without the animals. On Sunday you can hear the sound of fiddlers from early in the morning and street singers and musicians entertain.

The stalls offer handicraft products, mead and much more.

People work in workshops - they spin, weave, make laces, tat, forge, turn wood, and tie seine nets.

Visiting children get an opportunity to try to make a rope. Adults can see the tractor exhibition representing the artificial horsepower throughout three generations.

Bjerre Herreds Folk Dancers perform on the lawn in front of the Café accompanied by fiddlers.
